Resilience and social competence have been identified as the two critical abilities a child needs to be successful as an adult. This workshop will equip parents with children 0-5 years old with the tools they need to help their kids develop these skills.
However, many children lack resilience due to communication delays, learning differences, social anxiety and even overexposure to screen time. These children may miss other peoples non-verbal cues, misread others intentions, or fail to think about their communication partners perspective.
Developing social competence takes direct teaching and practice. Learn how you can help your children find better success in social situations.
Event: May 2, 2019 at 5:30 thru 6:30 p.m. in Celebrations
This Workshop is lead by Amy Lerman, MA, CCC-SLP, Community Outreach at The Parish School.
