With generous support from the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts, The Idea Fund is providing emergency relief grants to Greater Houston Area artists whose livelihoods have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. More than 60 grants of $1,000 each will be awarded to visual and multidisciplinary artists through an online application process.
Artists living in Harris, Galveston, Brazoria, Fort Bend, Waller, Chambers, Liberty, and Montgomery counties are eligible to apply. Applications will be accepted through 11:59 pm, April 27, 2020. Please visit The Idea Fund website for full guidelines and eligibility information.
The Idea Fund is part of the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts Regional Re-granting Program and is administered by DiverseWorks in partnership with Aurora Picture Show and Project Row Houses. The Emergency Relief Grant temporarily replaces The Idea Fund’s project-based grants which will resume with Round 14 in spring 2021.
The Idea Fund recognizes the limited nature of this effort and has provided a list of additional COVID-19 resources and relief grants on its website.

- MetroRail: The MetroRail makes a stop a half-block south of the MATCH at the Ensemble/HCC Station. Mid-Main: Close to the MATCH is the Mid-Main Garage (directly to the south at the corner of Holman and Travis). This garage is accessible through Holman or Travis Street and is open 24 hours. Parking can be paid by credit card or cash at the designated pay machines. And lastly, Street Parking: Metered street parking is available in Midtown. Please read all parking signs carefully, as available street parking changes depending on the time of day.
