Doors for the event will open around 30 minutes before the program begins. We suggest arriving early to park and claim your preferred seat. If you have registered, you must check-in at least 15 minutes before start time in order to guarantee your seat. Please note any unclaimed seats will be released to walk-ups 15 minutes before the program begins. Walk-ups are welcomed, but are not guaranteed a seat.
About Mark Menjivar
Mark Menjivar is an artist and Assistant Professor in the School of Art and Design at Texas State University. His work explores diverse subjects through photography, archives, oral history, and objects. Menjivar received a BA in Social Work from Baylor University (Waco, Texas) and an MFA in Social Practice from Portland State University (Oregon). Menjivar has engaged in projects at venues including the Bemis Center for Contemporary Art (Omaha, Nebraska), the Houston Center for Photography (Texas), the San Antonio Museum of Art (Texas), National Museum of Puerto Rican Museum of Arts & Culture (Chicago, Illinois), Blue Star Contemporary Art Museum (San Antonio, Texas), and the Krannert Art Museum (Champaign, Illinois). His work has been featured by National Geographic, Art Forum, TED, NPR, The New York Times, The New Yorker, Slate, Good Magazine, The Village Voice, Gastronomica, and Orion Magazine.
