In the last two years the Ministry of Antiquities of Egypt initiated a large-scale project to protect, consolidate and excavate pharaonic sites in Saqqara, Middle and Upper Egypt, and the Nile Delta.
Join Egypt's two top archaeologists Dr. Zahi Hawass and Mostafa Waziri, former and current Secretary-General of the Supreme Council of Antiquities, Egypt, for an overview of this impressive undertaking and results.
This is Zahi's first public event to reveal major important discoveries that he was involved in during the last year including those shown live by Discovery Channel. Dr. Hawass will shed light on the recent scientific work inside the great pyramid of Khufu searching for secret chambers, the drilling project under the Sphinx to investigate the tunnel theory, and the Valley of the Kings excavation in search of the tombs of Queen Nefertiti and Queen Ankhesenamun.
Also this evening, Secretary General of the Supreme Council of Antiquities, Dr. Mostafa Waziri will overview the latest findings of the project under his direction of the pharaonic project with particular focus to Saqqara, Luxor and Tuna el Gabal, the ancient necropolis of Hermopolis, where Ptolemaic burial chambers where recently discovered.
This event will sell out. Purchase your tickets early.
