Mummies of the World is the largest exhibition of real mummies and related artifacts ever assembled, presenting a never before seen collection of naturally and internationally preserved human and animal mummies. This compelling collection, presented with reverence and dignity, includes ancient mummies from South America, Europe and ancient Egypt, dating as far back as 4,500 years.

Visitors embark on a journey into the extraordinary world of mummies and mummification. Through modern science, engaging interactives and multimedia exhibits, the exhibition reveals how the scientific studies of mummies provides a window into the lives of ancient people from every region of the world, offering unprecedented insights into past cultures and civilizations.

  • Parking is available in our 6-story garage located on Caroline just south of Hermann Drive. The parking garage is $10 for museum members and $30 for all others. Some curbside parking is available near the Museum entrance and in Hermann Park.

Our dining program features two locations serving up a broad range of cuisine—everything from hamburgers to artisan sandwiches.

Please note: Food and beverages are not allowed inside the Museum exhibit halls or theaters.
