The Mid-Autumn Festival celebrates reunions among friends and family with harmony and unity. Join in on the majesty of the moon and the joys of the harvest as we celebrate the Vietnamese Mid-Autumn week packed with Vietnamese and Asian culture!
ON-GOING ACTIVITIES
- Full Moon Silhouettes: Paint a unique silhouette under the full moon at Alexander Art Academy.
- Earthly Patterns: Create a chatterbox to explore all phases of the moon, tides, shadow formation, and season of the year at Ecostation.
- Grow a Garden Spinner Game: Create a spinner game and watch as your garden crops up at Ecostation.
- Mid- Autumn Festival Mask: Design your very own Boar Mask in celebration of Mid-Autumn Festival at Junktion.
- Paper Lantern: Crease, pleat and fold yourself a traditional lantern at Junktion.
- Au Co Fairy Wings: Become the immortal mountain fairy Au Co at Junktion.
- Fill the Dragon: Use colorful shapes to fill the body of the dragon at ExxonMobile Match Cart.
- Chlorophyll Chromatography: Strap on your safety goggles, crush some leaves and discover why leaves change color with chromatography at Science Station.
- Leaf Rubbings: Learn the anatomy of leaves by making rubbings from leaves at Science Station.
- Cabbage Chemistry: Using red cabbage juice and other food products, you will learn how to test the liquid in a cabbage for analyzing pH levels at Power Science Lab.
- Iron in Cereal: Explore how to test iron in your morning cereal and learn about the important role iron plays in the human body at Power Science Lab.
- Testing Proteins: Test for proteins in different foods using a special technique known as Piotrowski's test at Power Science Lab.
- Oily Fats: Learn how to compare fat levels in different cooking oils at Power Science Lab.

Closed Mondays. Closed Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day, and Easter Sunday. - General Admission: $17 per person and $16 for seniors 65 years and older. FREE for children under one and Museum Members. Free Hours: FREE FAMILY NIGHT: Thursdays 5 pm - 8 pm.
