Each time professionals sit down, what contributes to the choices they make in establishing the boundaries for their work? Can a single guideline or frame serve everyone throughout the hours of one’s professional practice? Or is something more asked of them as they attempt to create a therapeutic environment and relationships that will support growth and healing?
Working together, the group will explore the concept of professional boundaries and examine relationships with boundaries in daily work. How might certain boundaries support the work in some moments and contribute to failure at others? If professionals are to make the connections necessary for change and healing to occur, increasing one's own awareness regarding the use of boundaries is essential.
Film clips and discussion will invite the group to move more deeply into work with others.
