Emergency Blood Drive

Next week, from Tuesday, May 26, 2020, to Thursday, May 28, 2020, The Health Museum in partnership with the Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center will hold an Emergency Blood Drive to alleviate some of the need created by COVID-19 in the local region at The Health Museum – located at 1515 Hermann Drive, Houston, Texas 77004. The emergency blood drive will take place daily from 10:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. by appointment only. To make an appointment, residents can visit www.giveblood.org/the-health-museum.

Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center and The Health Museum are working together during this pandemic to save lives. The Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center needs 800 to 1,000 daily donations to be able to provide blood and blood products to 170 hospitals and health care institutions in the local region.

All donors will receive a free guest pass for two to visit The Health Museum as a thank you for their donation.


  • Monday - Saturday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
    Thursday, 9:00 am - 7:00 pm
    Sunday, 12:00 pm - 5:00 pm
    Special exhibits may require an additional fee
  • General Admission: $10 per adult; $8 per child (ages 3-12); $8 per senior (ages 65+); Free for members and children under 2 yrs. Free Hours: Free Family Thursdays 2 - 7 pm.

  • Parking for Museum visitors is $5. Parking for non-Museum visitors is $8. Parking for Museum members is $3. Enter the parking lot from Hermann Dr. Metered street parking is available on streets surrounding the Museum.
