¡Que vivan los niños!  Hooray, kids!  “Children's Day” honors kids on various days in many places around the world.  In Mexico, it is celebrated on April 30 and is known as “El día del niño.” Join us for our Día del Niño Celebration.  Embrace your youth, use your imagination and enjoy activities that encourage your child within to come out and play!

The museum's special event will focus on enriching kids' lives with bilingual literacy.

• The Music of Cri-Cri: Join Intempo Dance as they perform to the music of Mexico's most beloved children's singer/songwriter.

• “Piñata Books” Giveaway: Take home a delightful story from the country's largest publisher of contemporary literature by Latino American authors, Arte Publico Press!
• Bi-linugal Book Giveaway: The Mexican Consulate celebrates bi-lingual literacy and empowers families to read together.
  • Event time: 12 to 3 p.m. at the Entrance
• Bilingual Story Time: Join Univision 45 Houston for a very special story time in English and Spanish.
  • Event time: 1:15 p.m. and 3:15 p.m. in Parent Resource Library
• Magician “Mago Kornel”: Jump for joy and unleash your inner joy as this magician entertains you with delightful antics!
  • Event time is 3 p.m. in Kids' Hall Alcove
