A Group Exhibition Featuring Members of the DiverseWorks Artist Board
Parliament of Owls takes its title from the word used to designate a group of owls: a parliament. Owls are often symbols of ominous forces, dark magic, and wisdom - concepts related to the artistic process, which requires a combination of cognitive and intuitive skills. A parliament is a democratically elected governing body of individuals. Thus, the phrase "parliament of owls" poetically and conceptually relates to the function and spirit of the DiverseWorks Artist Board.
Parliament of Owls includes paintings, sculptures, photographs, mixed-media, videos, performances, and site-specific interventions in the gallery. View a list of the artists here.
