Tuesday, August 1, 9:00 a.m. to Noon
at the Reflection Pool

Always wondered what the Houston Zoo has to offer teachers and students? Well now’s your chance to find out! Come learn about ways that your school can save wildlife through partnerships, mascot programs, and our educator programs. Get ideas for the upcoming school year by enjoying the Zoo for the day on us!

9 a.m. Visit booths around our Reflection Pool and meet educators from Houston-area schools who have participated in Zoo programs. They’re here to tell you all about how their schools have benefitted, and what possibilities you have available. Some tables will also have fun educational activities for you to try out!

10 a.m. Meet and greet and get up close with a selection of our Ambassador Animals, handling animals you might encounter as part of our education programming such as the Zoomobile and our Overnights.

Noon – 12:30 Don’t forget to pick up your certificate for completing three hours of Continuing Professional Education

This event is FREE for all educators, and includes your free admission to the Zoo! Stay all day if you’d like. If you wish to bring a guest, each educator may register one guest for a special discounted admission of just $10.
