As part of Core critic-in-residence Taraneh Fazeli's on-going curatorial project, Sick Time, Sleepy Time, Crip time: Against Capitalism's Temporal Bullying, Lawndale will host two related events as part of the programming series Warp and Weft of Care. The second public program in Warp and Weft of Care is a screening of Jen Liu and Core artist-in-residence Sondra Perry's recent video works on the closing day of the three Lawndale shows, Saturday, April 22nd. The program will include short videos that address the threats that labor poses to workers' health. Notes for the Waiting Room, a newspaper created by Canaries, a collective of artists with auto-immune conditions and other chronic illnesses, will launch after the screening.
