Power House’s mighty powers extend beyond the far galaxies but without them, the safety of the universe may be at stake. Kids can help Power House take flight and join him in superfly adventures for two weeks!

Heroes are made in America! The Man of Steel will “fly in” to celebrate his own birthday. The Museums is throwing him a birthday bash complete with “Happy Birthday” singing, supersized “cake”, Fly Dance Company break dancers and dancing to the Superman song.

(Tanabata Japanese Star Festival’s Epic Cosmic Reunion on July 6)

In this epic, cosmic reunion the Tanabata Japanese Star Festival celebrates the two star-crossed lovers, Vega and Altair, who are separated by the Milky Way and are allowed to meet only once a year on the 7th day of the 7th lunar month.

(Kidpendence Day Elephant Toothpaste Patriotic Burst and Soda Geyser Showdown, July 4)

Visitors can celebrate America’s birthday when the High Steppers Brass Band leads a parade to the jaw-dropping elephant toothpaste patriotic burst and spectacular Soda Geyser Showdown on Kidpendence Day.

About the Programs & Activities

Daily epic adventures include:

  • Get Your Gear On – Superheroes can’t rely on their superpowers alone – they’ve got to look the part! Make your own costume, emblem, gadgets, vehicles and more.
  • Epic Experiences – It takes both physical and mental training to be super! We will put you through both all summer long.
  • Live Musical Production – Don’t miss “Forces Unite,” an action packed adventure complete with a chase scene and a new musical number!

  • Tuesday - Saturday, 10:00 am - 6:00 pm
    Thursday, 10:00 am - 8:00 pm
    Sunday, 12:00 pm - 6:00 pm
    Closed Mondays. Closed Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day, and Easter Sunday.  
  • General Admission: $17 per person and $16 for seniors 65 years and older. FREE for children under one and Museum Members. Free Hours: FREE FAMILY NIGHT: Thursdays 5 pm - 8 pm.

  • Parking fees: 1 hour - $8, 2 hours - $9, 3+ hours - $10. Metered and street parking are available around the Children's Museum Houston.
