The Rice University/University of Houston Visiting Writers Series is a cooperative effort between the two universities. All events are free and open to the public.
Wendy Barker’s sixth full-length collection of poems, One Blackbird at a Time (BkMk Press, 2015), was chosen for The John Ciardi Prize. Wendy’s poems and translations have appeared in many journals, including Poetry, Southern Review, The Georgia Review, The Gettysburg Review, The American Scholar, and The Kenyon Review.
Rich Levy's book Why Me? was published by Mutabilis Press. His poems have appeared in Callaloo, Pool, Boulevard, Gulf Coast, High Plains Literary Review, The Texas Observer, The Texas Review, and elsewhere. Since 1995, he has served as executive director of Inprint.

- Do not park in the lot behind the MFAH building on weekdays before 5 pm. However, the museum does generously allow Jung Center patrons to park in the lot after 5 pm and on the weekend. Paid parking available in front of The Center and on Montrose in front of The Glassell School and the MFAH Administration Building. Parking is always at a premium in the Museum District during business hours, but parallel parking spaces can often be found in front of The Center and on Montrose in front of The Glassell School and the MFAH Administration Building.
