In elebration of Emperors’ Treasures: Chinese Art from the National Palace Museum, Taipei, groups of musicians from NAYCO—North American Youth Chinese Orchestra—are stationed throughout the exhibition to perform traditional Chinese compositions that reflect the taste of the dynasties represented in each gallery. The young musicians also briefly describe the history of the traditional Chinese instruments they are playing. The audience may move from group to group, and camp stools are provided for seating.

About NAYCO
The North American Youth Chinese Orchestra promotes Chinese traditional music and culture and cultural exchanges between the East and West. Based in Houston, NAYCO was founded in 2012 by Changlu Wu to provide a platform for young musicians, ages 8 to 17, to showcase their talents.
