Join HCCC for Craft Social to discover color matching and color theory through glass fusing. Colors have an extraordinary ability to influence mood, emotions, and perceptions; take on cultural and personal meaning; and attract attention, both consciously and subconsciously. At this month’s event, inspired by Light Charmer: Neon and Plasma in Action, participants are invited to learn about the ways in which glass influences our perceptions of color.
Play with warm and cool combinations, and see how color and light can create harmony, mood, and atmosphere. Learn the basics of glass cutting and glass fusing, and create your own color composition in glass. Finished pieces can be made into pendants, magnets, or light-catching ornaments. The glass pieces will be fused in our kiln and ready for pick-up in two weeks.
