Discover the best site for the garden, how to build it, what and how to plant, and the best methods to maintain and sustain a vegetable garden using organic methods. This is an excellent class for beginners, those who wish to brush-up on their gardening skills, or gardeners new to the Houston area.

Instructor Angela Chandler teaches several popular classes for Urban Harvest.

HOURS & ADMISSION

  • Monday - Wednesday, 9:00 am - 6:00 pm
    Thursday, 9:00 am - 9:00 pm
    Friday - Sunday, 9:00 am - 6:00 pm
    Please note that our normal hours will resume on Monday, August 20th ( 9am to 5pm) And our free Thursday hours will return to 2pm-5pm on Thursday, August 23rd.

  • Parking is available in our 6-story garage located on Caroline just south of Hermann Drive. Parking is just $5 for Museum members and $20 for all others. Some curbside parking is available near the Museum entrance and in Hermann Park.

The Museum offers easy access to a quick meal at McDonald's in the Grand Entry Hall. Open between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. McDonald's also offers the option to pre-order meals for field trips.

Please note: Food and beverages are not allowed inside the Museum exhibit halls or theaters.
