Join us for an Autism 101 workshop for families that have many questions and concerns when first given the diagnosis of Autism (ASD). Please join the Texas Children's Hospital Autism Center staff as we discuss:
- What is ASD?
- Does my child need a medical diagnosis?
- Where can my child receive a medical diagnosis?
- What is ABA therapy?
- How do we access therapies and school services?
- What insurance. Medicaid, SSI, and other financial resoures are available?
- How can I be a good advocate for my child?
- How can I manage my stress and take care of myself? and more.
