ABOUT THE EVENT

Meet us in the Power Science Lab all week long for the following activities:

Mixing Acids and Bases

Why do acids and bases molecularly rearrange to form salt and water? Find out in this experiment

Cabbage Chemistry

Use red cabbage juice and other products to see a rainbow of pH levels

Acid Levels in Juice: An In-Depth Comparizon

Determine the pH and acidity levels of your favorite fruit juices and learn what they do to your body

Our Bodies at Work

Observe a Neutralization Reaction and learn how our body's digestive system works

HOURS & ADMISSION

  • Tuesday - Saturday, 10:00 am - 6:00 pm
    Thursday, 10:00 am - 8:00 pm
    Sunday, 12:00 pm - 6:00 pm
    Closed Mondays. Closed Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day, and Easter Sunday.  
  • General Admission: $17 per person and $16 for seniors 65 years and older. FREE for children under one and Museum Members. Free Hours: FREE FAMILY NIGHT: Thursdays 5 pm - 8 pm.

  • Parking fees: 1 hour - $8, 2 hours - $9, 3+ hours - $10. Metered and street parking are available around the Children's Museum Houston.
