Event Highlights

Join for our first After Dark of the season – Animals Up Close! Guests will have access to exclusive Keeper Talks featuring special animal enrichment activities and feedings. From 8:00-10:00 p.m., enjoy a live dueling piano show by Fun Pianos!, participate in an enrichment activity of your own by creating “brain wave” art, get a photo in our roaming photo booth, play lawn games, and more.

Event Schedule:

6:00 – 8:00 p.m. – Guests may explore the Zoo, ride the Wildlife Carousel, and view TXU Energy presents Dragons for free!
8:00 – 10:00 p.m. – Guests will head to Masihara Pavilion where they will enjoy a live dueling piano show by Fun Pianos!

Tickets are non-transferable and non-refundable. Tickets will be sold at the gate for an increased price. This event is for adults 21-and-up only.

Visit Twiga’s spacious, cool dining room to snack on everything from hamburgers to salads to chicken tenders. Pizza, a variety of other kids’ options, and snacks like fresh fruit, cookies, trail mix, and more are also available. Sit outside and watch the giraffes or rhinos while you eat!

Albert & Ethel Herzstein Trading Post

Feeling the need for a sweet treat? Here’s your place. Located at the entrance of African Forest, the Trading Post offers Dole Whips as well as a variety of other snacks and treats, including cookies, large pretzels, and popcorn. You’ll also find beverages like soda, juice and Saint Arnold beer.
