HCCC-CS-Outer-space

Join HCCC to explore outer space and the current exhibition, Escaping Earth: The Kinetic Work of Casey Curranat the Winter Craft Social.

Experience the museum after hours—have a beverage, discover the galleries with friends, and take in Casey Curran’s stunning kinetic sculptures. Make your own space-inspired tea towel using bleach and other dyes.  Dyes and a black tea towel will be provided, but participants are encouraged to bring another piece of black cotton fabric or clothing for additional experimentation.

Held quarterly, Craft Socials are casual evening events designed to emphasize experimentation, curiosity, and innovation. Visitors are encouraged to drop by and participate in a night of making and learning about contemporary craft. All events are free and on a first-come first-served basis. Capacity is limited. The program is for adults only (ages 18 and up).

Craft beer is generously provided by Buffalo Bayou Brewing Co., and materials are sponsored by Art Supply on Main Street.
