The Ethics of Money In a Therapeutic Practice

In this experiential workshop, the group will explore ways to ethically address concerns like setting, modifying and increasing fees, managing sliding scales, dealing with insurance companies, and offering services pro bono. Participants will leave with an action plan for addressing money issues in their practices.

About the Class

Michael Winters, PhD is a psychologist in private practice in Houston. He is a diplomate in logotherapy (meaning-centered psychotherapy) and serves on the faculty of the Viktor Frankl Institute of Logotherapy. He has published and presented on meaning-centered psychotherapy in the US, Canada and Europe, and has taught many courses on meaning-centered topics in Houston and at The Jung Center.

  • Do not park in the lot behind the MFAH building on weekdays before 5 pm. However, the museum does generously allow Jung Center patrons to park in the lot after 5 pm and on the weekend. Paid parking available in front of The Center and on Montrose in front of The Glassell School and the MFAH Administration Building. Parking is always at a premium in the Museum District during business hours, but parallel parking spaces can often be found in front of The Center and on Montrose in front of The Glassell School and the MFAH Administration Building.
