Storytelling through Photography

Thursday, May. 7, 2020 – Thursday, May. 28, 2020

06:00 PM – 08:00 PM
US/Central

D8H9339

Think of a few of the most memorable photos and dig them out. What stories do they tell? Great images are impressive because, in addition to their craft and composition, they tell a story. In this workshop, author and photographer Mark Chen will introduce strategies for sorting through your personal experiences and interests to create new works of art. Whether you are just getting started or are a seasoned professional, this workshop will encourage you to use photography for creative expression and intellectual reflection. Students will be introduced to visual language, photographic theory, and art history, as well as be encouraged to expand their photographic skills and knowledge of techniques. Chen will lead you to develop new content-rich work. Have fun and bring new meaning to your work in this NEW workshop at HCP.
