Session 1: Portraiture: Document, Mirror, Myth?

Thursday, Aug. 6, 2015 – Thursday, Aug. 27, 2015

07:00 PM – 09:00 PM
US/Central

Class meets four Thursdays: August 6th, 13th, 20th & 27th from 7-9 pm.

What do our photographic portraits reveal about our subjects and ourselves? How do light and space impact the creation of stories in our portraits? This class will explore answers to these questions in the work of Hellen van Meene, William Eggleston and Viktoria Sorochinski.

In students' own work they will seek to produce portraits that depict their own answers to the questions of photographic portraiture.
