Are you an amateur photographer? The Bayou Bend gardens provide a unique opportunity! Explore the grounds of the 14-acre estate to capture wonderful views of nature through your own lens, from beautiful blooms and gorgeous woodlands to lovely formal landscapes. Please note the guidelines below.

Admission to the gardens is $7.50 for adults; $6 for seniors (65+) and students with ID; and $5 for ages 10–18. Children 9 and younger are admitted free.

Guidelines

​Photographers must agree not to publish or sell their photos for profit and must not disturb other guests. No lighting equipment, tripods, or monopods are permitted. Photography is limited to still images and does not include filming or video. “Photography in the Gardens” is intended for images of the garden spaces themselves and may not be used for engagement and bridal photography, or for commemorative photos of events not related to Bayou Bend (such as anniversaries or quinceañaras).

    • Certain special exhibitions are ticketed, with an additional charge.
    *The Museum provides free admission to active members of the U.S. military and reserves with valid ID, as well as to military families with dependent cards. Available in person at any admissions desk.  General admission to the Museum is free on Thursdays, courtesy of Shell Oil Company.     Health & Safety Protocols: Before you arrive - The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston is a private institution devoted to public service.     Parking Garage Fees

    • Parking payments may be made only with major credit cards, or with MasterCard and Visa debit cards.
    • On Thursday, parking is free for visitors who enter the Museum between 5 p.m. and 9 p.m.

      Recommendation for guests with limited mobility: Use the covered drop-off lane at the Main Street entrance to the Beck Building, or use wheelchair-accessible parking in the garage at 1144 Binz Street.
