Guests are invited to this free lunchtime reading group, facilitated by Sean Fitzpatrick. Each month, the group will read and discuss a different essay on Jung and analytical psychology. Guests can drop in at any time; no prior participation in the group is necessary. During this first semester we will focus on essays from The Handbook of Jungian Psychology: Theory, Practice, and Applications, edited by Renos Papadopoulos. February: “Psychological Types,” John Beebe. March: “The self,” Warren Coman. April: "Transference/Countertransference," Andrew Samuels. May: "Individuation," Murray Stein.

Sean Fitzpatrick, PhD, LPC, is the executive director of The Jung Center. He has master's degrees in religious studies and clinical psychology, and he completed his doctorate in psychology, with a concentration in Jungian studies, at Saybrook University. He is also a psychotherapist in private practice.

  • Do not park in the lot behind the MFAH building on weekdays before 5 pm. However, the museum does generously allow Jung Center patrons to park in the lot after 5 pm and on the weekend. Paid parking available in front of The Center and on Montrose in front of The Glassell School and the MFAH Administration Building. Parking is always at a premium in the Museum District during business hours, but parallel parking spaces can often be found in front of The Center and on Montrose in front of The Glassell School and the MFAH Administration Building.
