FIESTAS PATRIAS PRESENTED BY TAQUERIAS ARANDAS

Join the Children’s Museum of Houston as we partner with Consulate General of Mexico in Houston for an afternoon of fiesta and freedom as we commemorate “Fiestas Patrias.”

On September 15, 1810, Father Miguel Hidalgo climbed atop a church and encouraged people to fight for Mexico’s independence.  This “cry” for liberty marks the anniversary of Mexico’s “Grito de Dolores” and it’s celebrated with music, fireworks, and parades.

Join the Children’s Museum of Houston for fiesta, freedom and ballet folklórico as we welcome Elena, the crowned ruler of Avalor, to the Museum for this special celebration.
