Together, we’ll explore equanimity, one of the four heart qualities that is cultivated through mindfulness practice. Equanimity is the ability to find stability, to be true to ourselves, and to make wise, conscious choices instead of reacting reflexively. We will discuss the concept and practice equanimity meditation.

Micki Fine, MEd, LPC

Micki Fine is the founder of Mindful Living and has been in private psychotherapy practice since 1989. She has taught Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction since 1994. She earned the credential of certified mindfulness teacher from the University of Massachusetts Medical School where Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn founded the Center for Mindfulness.

  • Do not park in the lot behind the MFAH building on weekdays before 5 pm. However, the museum does generously allow Jung Center patrons to park in the lot after 5 pm and on the weekend. Paid parking available in front of The Center and on Montrose in front of The Glassell School and the MFAH Administration Building. Parking is always at a premium in the Museum District during business hours, but parallel parking spaces can often be found in front of The Center and on Montrose in front of The Glassell School and the MFAH Administration Building.
