Enjoy an informal concert with your visit to High Society: The Portraits of Franz X. Winterhalter.

Students from the Moores School of Music at the University of Houston present a short performance in the exhibition’s final gallery. The program includes a broad range of classical music created during the Romantic era of the mid-to-late 19th century, when the aristocrats of Europe were posing for Winterhalter. Two of the best-known composers of that era to be represented are Ludwig van Beethoven and Georges Bizet.
