Chinese Calligraphy

Thursday, Aug. 6, 2015 – Thursday, Aug. 27, 2015

09:30 AM – 12:30 PM
US/Central

EXPRESSIVE-ARTS-240X240

The Chinese language has no alphabet. Rather than letters, each Chinese word is made up of many basic brushstrokes.

As the group works with simple characters, they will learn such basic skills as holding and loading the brush, wrist and elbow movements, and pressing and lifting the brush. Participants will learn the eight basic brushstrokes—and have fun learning new Chinese words.

Dates: Thursdays, Aug 6-27
