Guests can save endangered wildlife in a fun night of bowling that is perfect for the whole family!
Five people are allowed per bowling lane. If a group doesn't have enough for a full bowling lane, the Zoo will match people with a bowling group.
Bowling for Rhinos is presented by the American Association of Zookeepers.

About the Programs & Activities
Event Features
- Entry fee with Bowling includes: unlimited bowling for two hours, shoe and ball rental, event giveaway item, and access to silent auction and raffle
- Non-bowling fee includes: event giveaway item, and access to silent auction and raffle
- Sarah Pepper from HOT 95-7 will make an appearance
- Silent Auction with paintings done by Houston Zoo animals
- Activity table for kids and a chance to meet Charge the Rhino
- Access to bowling alley full service cocktail and snack bar which will have items available for purchase
- All proceeds go toward rhino conservation
Several food trucks will be on site selling their scrumptious goodies.

Visit Twiga’s spacious, cool dining room to snack on everything from hamburgers to salads to chicken tenders. Pizza, a variety of other kids’ options, and snacks like fresh fruit, cookies, trail mix, and more are also available. Sit outside and watch the giraffes or rhinos while you eat!
Albert & Ethel Herzstein Trading Post
Feeling the need for a sweet treat? Here’s your place. Located at the entrance of African Forest, the Trading Post offers Dole Whips as well as a variety of other snacks and treats, including cookies, large pretzels, and popcorn. You’ll also find beverages like soda, juice and Saint Arnold beer.
