  • Kidpendence Day: Celebrate the country's 243rd birthday!
    • Event: July 4 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Captain America and Wonder Woman Meet-and-Greet: Snap a selfie with these protectors of justice.
    • Event: July 4 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Science Demo: Celebrate the red, white and blue with a super cool Elephant Toothpaste Demonstration.
    • Event: July 4 at 1 p.m. in the Courtyard 
  • Spider-Verse Meet-and-Greet: Dive into the web of fun and meet Spider-Man, Miles Morales and Spidey-Gwen!
    • Event: July 6 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Kids' Hall Alcove 
  • Speed Painting: Watch as Houston artist Ange paints with spidey speed.
    • Event: July 6 at 1:30 p.m. in Kids' Hall Alcove 

WHAT'S NEW THIS WEEK?

  • A Hero's Story: Get inspired by your favorite superhero and make a bookmark in Art Academy.
  • Fossil Teeth Identification: See if you can tell the difference between a T-Rex and a Wooly Mammoth tooth in EcoStation.
  • Dinosaur Enclosure Design: See if you can design a pen for a dino in EcoStation. 
  • Dark Knight Mask: Get inspired by Batman and make a mask fit for the movies in Junktion.
  • God of Thunder Helmet: Feel the power as you make your own helmet in Junktion. 
  • You're a Star: Walk on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and see your name. Make your own star in Junktion. 
  • Orbiting Objects: Check out the gravitational pull on every object using gravity well in Science Station.
  • Molecular Model: Mix acids and bases and use magnetic models to form salt and water in Power Science Lab.
  • Cabbage Chemistry: Watch as different liquids react to cabbage juice and test their pH levels of food we eat every day in Power Science Lab. 
  • Acid Levels in Juice: Grab your favorite juice and test its pH balance in Power Science Lab. 
  • Neutralization Reaction: Our Bodies at Work: Check out how our stomach digest food through this cool experiment in Power Science Lab.
  • LED Magic Pendants: Use a laser cutter to make a customized Hogwarts House Badge in Inventor's Workshop.

  • Tuesday - Saturday, 10:00 am - 6:00 pm
    Thursday, 10:00 am - 8:00 pm
    Sunday, 12:00 pm - 6:00 pm
    Closed Mondays. Closed Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day, and Easter Sunday.  
  • General Admission: $17 per person and $16 for seniors 65 years and older. FREE for children under one and Museum Members. Free Hours: FREE FAMILY NIGHT: Thursdays 5 pm - 8 pm.

  • Parking fees: 1 hour - $8, 2 hours - $9, 3+ hours - $10. Metered and street parking are available around the Children's Museum Houston.
