Over four Saturdays in April, discover how cultivating our powers of empathy and vulnerability helps to facilitate connections to both ourselves and others, and that helping people is always an opening-up of our own depths that may leave us forever changed.

Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche, founder of Ligmincha Texas and Ligmincha International, returns to the Jung Center to illuminate the path to recognizing and welcoming innate awareness through meditation. Using the Tibetan Buddhist Five Fold Practice, Rinpoche will introduce and guide students through the practice of integrating insight into daily life.

KATIE KITAMURA, National Book Award finalist, and Pulitzer Prize finalist KAREN RUSSELL, will read from their new novels AUDITION and THE ANTIDOTE and will be in conversation with author Brenda Peynado. The evening will conclude with a book sale and signing. This event is the final installment of the 2024/2025 Inprint Margarett Root Brown Reading Series. General admission tickets are $5.

EMMA DONOGHUE, finalist for the Man Booker and Orange Prizes, will read from her newest novel THE PARIS EXPRESS, followed by an on-stage conversation with bestselling author Chitra Banerjee Divakaruni.
