This charming animated film is a vibrant story about love, family, poetry, history, and culture. Young Canadian poet Rosie Ming (Sandra Oh) is invited to perform at a poetry festival in Shiraz, Iran. She lives at home with her overprotective Chinese grandparents and has never been anywhere by herself. Once in Iran, she finds herself in the company of poets and Persians who tell her stories about the Iranian father (Peyman Moaadi) she assumed abandoned her. Window Horses: The Poetic Persian Epiphany of Rosie Ming centers on building bridges between cultural and generational divides, and finding one’s own voice through the magic of poetry. Shohreh Aghdashloo, Nancy Kwan, and Ellen Page are also in the cast.
