Heroes come in all shapes and sizes. Discover the power within you and celebrate Unmask Your Inner Hero WonderWeek at the Children's Museum of Houston!


  • Scratch Art: Unveil a colorful surprise under colorful scratch paper made by you in Alexander Art Academy!
  • Spider Hats: Learn about the interesting powers spiders have and make a hat inspired by these artrhopods in EcoStation.
  • Web-Slinger Mask: Fly through the streets of Kidtropolis like Spiderman when you make your own mask in Junktion.
  • Up, Up and Away!: Create your own eco-friendly and recycable superhero cape in Junktion.
  • Superhero Blast Off!: Launch superheroes flying through the sky to save the city with a toy designed by you in Junktion!
  • Crack the Code: Use code breaking tools to decipher codes and find values at Math Cart.
  • 8 Bit Images: Bring your peg board superhero to life as you code it into 8 bit animated images using Bloxels in Science Station.
  • Iron in Cereal: See how much iron you're getting in your favorite cereal brand and learn it's important role in the human body in Power Science Lab!
  • The Olfactory Knows: Learn the physiology behind smell as you play a matching game with your nose in Power Science Lab.
  • Our Bodies at Work: Observe Neutralization Reaction and learn how our body's digestive system works in Power Science Lab.
  • Nuts and Bolts: Build all sorts of machines and creations in Inventor's Workshop!
  • Super Power Bands: Light up your journey with customized Super Power Bands built by you in the Chevron-Houston Texans Maker Annex!

    Sunday, Noon - 6:00 pm
    Open Monday during Spring Break, Memorial Day, Fourth of July and Labor Day. Summer: Open Mondays Memorial Day through Labor Day. Closed Easter Sunday, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Year's Day.  
  • General Admission: $12 per person and $11 for seniors 65 years and older. FREE for children under one and Museum Members. Free Hours: FREE FAMILY NIGHT: Thursdays 5 pm - 8 pm.
