Come out to the Health Museum and participate in the exciting educational programming from Tom's Fun Band!
From 10:00 AM - 10:45 AM: Tom's Fun Band will be taking you on a journey through the Science of Sound. This live show breaks down the concepts and introduces audiences to the scientific principles of sound. Who said learning about vibrations, sound waves, air molecules, and frequency isn't fun? This highly interactive performance uses music demonstration to teach the science of sound. Demonstrations of unique sounds will be introduced to students through guitar performance. Students are encouraged to sing, move, listen, and identify sound characteristics as we explore how sound is produced, how sound moves, and how sounds are perceived.
From 11:30 - 1:00 PM: Tom will be conducting a workshop called Recycled! Participants will continue to learn all about sound and create their own musical instruments with recycled items. Everything can have musical purpose!
The live performance is free with your museum admission. The workshop is $10/participant and INCLUDES admission to the museum and live performance. Click HERE to register!
