It’s hard to believe that not so very long ago, some critics labeled Impressionist paintings “shocking,” “insulting,” and even “offensive.” One of the Museum's greatest treasures is the Beck Collection of Impressionist and Post-Impressionist art. On this 45-minute tour, guests can discover what made Impressionism so "modern," and how the "isms" that followed it—Pointillism, Fauvism, and Cubism—continued to revolutionize the very nature of painting itself.
