Exclusive Houston Premiere

This multimedia film and performance event showcases the epic grandeur of Big Bend in West Texas. The Legend of Big Bendconcert features engaging storytelling, breathtaking imagery, and original music by Austin’s Montopolis rock ’n’ roll chamber orchestra, performing live on the stage of the Museum’s Brown Auditorium Theater.

Filmmaker David Barrow captured hours of footage at Big Bend, documenting the sweeping landscapes and intimate details of this singular location. Poets, philosophers, scientists, and historians speak of mysterious and desolate Big Bend in narration that guides the audience on an epic adventure. Memorable and immersive, this special film concert promises a uniquely Texas experience.
