In his mansion with its own disco, Allan Carr—the movie producer behind Grease and Can’t Stop the Music—threw the Hollywood parties that defined the 1970s. Filmmaker Jeffrey Schwartz (Vito; I Am Divine; Tab Hunter Confidential) chronicles the remarkable career of the “fabulous” man (1937–1999) who also produced the 1989 Academy Awards, which became infamous for its production numbers.
