Kids can jump, dance, and move into exhilarating interactive outdoor and indoor activities to generate new memorable experiences that will shake off the end of summer and motivate them for the new school year!
Summer Shake-off is an end of summer event for all ages! Activities include picking up free Fiesta school supplies, while they last; GOYA will host cooking demos and provide food samples, while Berryhill Baja Grill will keep participants hydrated with their watering station. Telemundo Houston's promotional street team will be onsite with fun games and prizes, and kids can show their gaming skills at the Microsoft Xbox One areas. Just in time for back-to-school, Safe Kids of Greater Houston will perform workshops on bicycle, pedestrian and school bus safety, the UT School of Dentistry Mobile Dental Van will provide complimentary oral screenings and more, plus The Care Van from the Caring for Children Foundation of Texas will offer free immunizations for *qualified children.
About the Programs & Activities
*Complete immunization records are required for this free service and the child must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Children are eligible if he/she has no insurance, has insurance that does not cover vaccines, has Medicaid, or is American Indian/Native American or Alaskan Native.
