Summer of Epic Adventure: EPISODE 4: SIZZLIN’ COOL

Chill may be able to keep her cool during the summer but Spark needs her icy blasts to keep from melting her heroine heart. Joining forces against Boredom is the only way Chill and Spark can keep their sizzlin’ cool.

Canine companions will raise the woof during the Dog Days of Summer! The World Series of Dog Shows will unleash talented pooches for dance and Frisbees catching performances that are on fire.

(Banfield FutureVet® Therapy Dogs and Doggie Diploma Woofshops, July 9 & 11)

Kids can join the FutureVet® pack and earn a Doggie Diploma during a series of interactive woofshops with therapy dogs that will unleash the joys of being a pet owner but also teach about the responsibilities that come with being one.

(Lip-smacking Ice Cream Making on National Ice Cream Day, July 19)

Then, kids can chill out and send cold shivers down villains’ spines with a tasty frozen treat: ice cream in celebration of National Ice Cream Day. Brrr!

About the Programs & Activities

Daily epic adventures include:

  • Get Your Gear On – Superheroes can’t rely on their superpowers alone – they’ve got to look the part! Make your own costume, emblem, gadgets, vehicles and more.
  • Epic Experiences – It takes both physical and mental training to be super! We will put you through both all summer long.
  • Live Musical Production – Don’t miss “Forces Unite,” an action packed adventure complete with a chase scene and a new musical number!

  • Tuesday - Saturday, 10:00 am - 6:00 pm
    Thursday, 10:00 am - 8:00 pm
    Sunday, 12:00 pm - 6:00 pm
    Closed Mondays. Closed Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day, and Easter Sunday.  
  • General Admission: $17 per person and $16 for seniors 65 years and older. FREE for children under one and Museum Members. Free Hours: FREE FAMILY NIGHT: Thursdays 5 pm - 8 pm.

  • Parking fees: 1 hour - $8, 2 hours - $9, 3+ hours - $10. Metered and street parking are available around the Children's Museum Houston.
