Celebrate the opening of new work by the Dutch collective We Make Carpets. Crêpe Paper Carpet  is a site-specific sculptural installation that will be constructed in the Moody’s Central Gallery over a multi-week visit by the artists. Inspired by an earlier trip to Houston and seeing the bright colors and handmade production of piñatas, We Make Carpets will use vibrantly dyed crepe paper for their new “carpet,” so called because of the works’ rectangular shapes and frequently symmetrical intricate designs.

The artists will give a gallery talk at 11:30am followed by music, food, and drinks. Join us!
