Summer Fine Arts Workshop at Rienzi: “A Family Story”

Sunday, Jun. 14, 2015

01:00 PM – 03:00 PM
US/Central

At Rienzi's Summer Fine Arts Workshops families come together to create art, write stories and poems, and watch performances inspired by the Rienzi Collection.

At this workshop, "A Family Story: Writers' Reflections," families read, write, and create during a playful and engaging afternoon. Led by instructors from the School Literacy & Culture program at Rice University, visitors learn the story of the Rienzi family and are encouraged to compose their own stories. Younger children dictate and dramatize their tales, while older students write poetry and prose.

About the Workshop

Education programs at Rienzi receive generous funding from the Sterling-Turner Foundation; The Brown Foundation, Inc.; the Carroll Sterling and Harris Masterson III Endowment; and the Caroline Wiess Law Endowment for Rienzi.
