09:00 AM – 05:00 PM
US/Central

Start planning for spring at the Glassell Junior School! Registration for spring classes begins today for continuing students, scholarship students, and MFAH members at the Family level and above. New-student registration begins Monday, December 7. Registration is ongoing until the third class meeting for full-semester courses.

Returning this spring are our popular adult/child classes "The Big Picture" (ages 3–4) and our homeschool courses, which are available in full-semester and half-semester sessions for ages 4–18.

In addition to familiar favorites such as Ceramics, Drawing & Painting, Sculpture, Animation and Fashion, the Junior School offers new full-semester courses such as: The Art of Architecture and Screen Printing (ages 14–18), and Manga Style! (ages 11–13) where students create their own mini-manga inspired by the popular Japanese comic style.

Sunday afternoon workshops include the popular adult/child workshop Animals and Art (ages 4–6) as well as Junior Fashion Designer (ages 6–8). New to the workshop lineup are Art Detectives (ages 8–10), Dancing with Lines (ages 11–13) and A Touch of Asia (ages 11–13).

Spring classes are held after school, Monday–Thursday from 4 to 5:30 p.m. and on weekends: Saturday morning and afternoon, and Sunday afternoon. Classes begin Saturday, January 9.

► Be sure to register early, as classes fill quickly! For details, visit mfah.org/juniorschool or call 713.639.7700.
