Hosted by Writers in the Schools (WITS), the Space City Slam Series is the largest youth poetry slam competition in Texas. Winners from each preliminary slam will advance to semi-finals and compete to make it to the Grand Slam this spring. The top six poets from the Space City Grand Slam will join the Meta-Four Houston team.

Calling all teen poets, rappers, and writers! Participate in the Space City Slam Series for your chance to join the Meta-Four Houston performance poetry team and compete at Brave New Voices in Chicago, Illinois.

12:30–1PM: Registration for participants

1–2PM: Preliminary Slam
