To start the night off, Dr. Karolina Syrovatkova, a Czech-born, and award-winning pianist will be presenting, “Great Women in Music.” Which will be in memory of our founder, and CEO of the Czech Center Museum, Effie Rosene.

Karolina Syrovatkova, will play the classical music of Vitezslava Kapralova, as well as dramatize her life in "Lady in a Bow Tie." The performance takes place against the backdrop of Czechoslovakia's creation in 1918 and in the time between the world wars, a golden era for the country.
