ABOUT THE EVENT
From roads to pumps and even toys, Engineers build the world around us to help make our lives easier with efficient solutions. Learn all about this indispensable and profession and get inspired to join their cause you can find in it during National Engineers Week at the Museum.
ART ACADEMY AND JUNKTION ACTIVITIES
The following activities are all day long, so stop by anytime to participate!
Turn flat, delicate kitchen foil into sculptures of people, inspired by the textured figures of Alberto Giacometti in Alexander Art Academy
Make a paper plane and launch it for flight with the help of resistance in Junktion
Catch the curvy magic, or airfoil, of a boomerang after you let it take flight in an elliptical path in Junktion
Engineer your own working paper woodpecker that really pecks in Junktion
HOURS & ADMISSION
Tuesday - Saturday, 10:00 am - 6:00 pm
Thursday, 10:00 am - 8:00 pm
Sunday, Noon - 6:00 pm
Open Monday during Spring Break, Memorial Day, Fourth of July and Labor Day. Summer: Open Mondays Memorial Day through Labor Day. Closed Easter Sunday, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Year's Day.
- General Admission: $12 per person and $11 for seniors 65 years and older. FREE for children under one and Museum Members. Free Hours: FREE FAMILY NIGHT: Thursdays 5 pm - 8 pm.
