Choose from a variety of curriculum-relevant presentations throughout the day plus earn CPE credits for continuing education at this FREE EVENT.

CHILDREN'S MUSEUM OF HOUSTON'S TEACHER WORKSHOPS

• Cool Chemistry: Create science enthusiasm and a new understanding of chemistry in your students at 9 and 10 a.m.
• Earth and Space - Connecting your audience to Space Science: Join the Lunar and Planetary Institute to conduct activities about lunar phases, how to access NASA educational materials, and share space science resources that engage students in STEAM topics at 11 a.m. 
• Crafting the Classroom - Integrating Art into Core Subjects:  Construct your own hands-on project to help students develop problem-solving skills and foster creativity. Integrating Art into Core Subjects at 11 a.m. 
• Military artifacts: Apply TEKS to plan meaningful lessons to analyze artifacts and learn about the contributions of America's Buffalo Soldiers from the Revolutionary War to now at 12 p.m. 
• Educator in Motion: Find out how to program a free school and community outreach activity with a visiting educator to teach students about the Holocaust, Genocide or an anti-bullying program at 12 p.m.
