American Still-Life Painting: The Frank and Michelle Hevrdejs Collection presents an exceptional group of paintings spanning the 18th century to the present day. Over the course of three decades, Frank and Michelle Hevrdejs have assiduously collected paintings by well-known American luminaries of still-life painting, amassing a superb collection that illustrates the development of the genre from its beginnings in European-influenced Realism to Abstraction.

The exhibition features 67 still lifes—the majority of which have never before been seen by the public—and highlights an extraordinary variety and range of subject matter. Join this one-hour, docent-led members tour that takes a closer look at works by celebrated painters such as Thomas Hart Benton, James Peale, Georgia O’Keeffe, and Andrew Wyeth.

Space is limited, and spots fill up fast. Secure your reservations in advance at [email protected] or 713.353.1550. Not a member? Join today!
