Led by Shannon O’Quinn, library assistant, acquisitions 

Take a 20-minute tour of Modernist Myths: Aesthetics of Identity in Latin American Graphics, featuring rare periodicals and paperback works from the library’s special collections. The installation focuses on Latin American artists and writers aiming to subvert European exceptionalism in their quest to explore a postcolonial, postrevolutionary identity illustrating the birth of an American Modernism.

About “Meet the Books”
Did you know that the Museum’s Hirsch Library is open to the public? With thousands of art-related materials to choose from, the Hirsch library highlights the collection of rare books through engaging exhibitions that showcase recent acquisitions, exquisitely illustrated books, and rare printed matter.

Drop in! This program is free. The Hirsch Library is always free to visit.
